WHY IS IT STILL A MUST FOR CHILDREN TO STAY AT HOME?

We frequently hear that the children should stay at home. It is even imposed by the government. But why is it being implemented? In this blog, we are going to explain some reasons why.

Except from going to school in a pre-pandemic era, children should just stay in their respective houses because we are now living in the world where there were full of crimes, accidents, etc. that they might encounter outside. Some children can be kidnapped, some can be hit by a vehicle that may lead them to death, some may be used to an illegal act and many more. ---And it became worst when pandemic happens, where the Covid-19 cases start rising and rising inside and outside the Country and as we know, children are prone to Corona Virus for having a low immune system.

Despite that, there still some kids who is stubborn and keep going outside their house. Though, we cannot totally blame them because they don’t fully understand the situation yet. And also, the so-called “new normal” is way too far from how we live before and maybe the children are having a hard time coping up from the situation. However, no matter what the reason is, the endpoint is that children should stay at home for their own safety because Corona Virus is contagious and still rampant nowadays. With that, we are encouraging guardians most especially the parents to take good care of their children. Don’t let children go outside and let us try to explain to them what the situation we are in today. Inform them that we have a virus that is widespread so that they would also know that the reason why they should stay at home is because you're protecting them from Coronavirus. Because even though there are already vaccines and many of the people have been vaccinated, we are still not sure that we are safe for we cannot see our opponent, which is the Covid-19. It may strike us in just one click which can cause illnesses or worse it can lead to death. But, there is still one thing that is out of our control— and those are street children.

By definition, street children are the homeless children who live on the streets. Technically speaking, they have no shelter to stay at, and some of them have no guardians. They have no means to buy their hygiene kit such as masks, alcohol, etc. And most of them do not take a bath. With that, let's try to help one another. We can help them to be safe in these times by simply giving them clean foods because as we know they are just finding something to eat in the trash bin and it might be the reason for them to have the virus. Also, we can report them to the authorities like DSWD so that they can send some help to those children for them to have shelter to sleep with and for them to be safer.  A little reminder to everyone, let us always remember that prevention is better than cure and staying at home can save lives.
